A new beginning for This Startup
Expanding what this blog is all about to share even more about what's on my mind.
Happy New Year!
Over the past year, I have posted some thoughts about my journey as an entrepreneur. My hope was to record my experiences in real time, so other entrepreneurs could gain some value from what I had to share. We hear all the success stories, but rarely hear about all of the trials and mistakes that founders go through when trying to get things going.
That was nice and all and I published some thoughts that could be helpful, but I realized that there was much more that I wanted to share. I did not feel that I had created the right platform to do so, so now I am repurposing this blog to expand what I talk about.
This Startup is bigger than what I have been trying to do with Pivvt. I am This Startup. All of the work put in and the risk taken revolves around who I am as a person. I have never lived a life before (as far as I can remember!) so each decision that I make is a venture into the unknown, and I am in charge. I am the CEO of my life and this is where I will log my journey.
Going forward, I am going to share more about the why—why am I doing this? Growing up, I never had the desire to become an entrepreneur, but here I am doing risky things to create something new. Why?
Following along the why, I am going to go deeper into different topics that I am passionate about. I look at creating a startup as something that I really want to do with my life, but it is also a means to an end. I am trying to create wealth because there is so much that I want to do. I want to make a positive impact in the lives of as many people as possible, and the things I want to do go beyond what could be delivered with software and within my current budget.
Here’s a peek into what I will be sharing, and really a look into my goals for the coming year and going forward. This is what I am passionate about:
There is a great economic disparity that has been raging rampantly in our society, especially here in the United States. I want to help more people have greater economic freedom my creating more opportunities for them to access capital.
People spend a lot of time arguing about healthcare, but I feel that we need to go deeper into the root cause about why people are increasingly unhealthy. I believe that health is closely tied to the food that we eat. I want to help people access better quality food by growing more of it themselves.
Point number one is tied to what I have been trying to do with Pivvt and soon with FeeFi and the FeeFi Network. Point number two is in line with what I have been learning as I garden, but with ideas on how to scale out gardening to the people who need it most and to those that have the space in their own backyards.
This is what drives my motivation. I have my own family to take care of, but my desire is to make a lasting impact on the economic and physical wellbeing of people in this country and around the world. This is my desire and this is what I want to dedicate the rest of my life to. This is why I am an entrepreneur and the reason behind This Startup.

Oh and by the way, this blog is not intended to be highly edited and might feel unpolished because it is. Furthermore, my thoughts flow with a lot of pauses, and I often overuse commas—except when I use the Oxford comma, because I believe in it, it adds balance, and the word “and” does not replace a comma. 😉
